Style & Inspiration
Furniture designs by Jesper O.H. Sørensen are characterized by the simplicity and minimalistic style typical for the Scandinavian furniture design traditions. His unique and clean-lined design universe is inspired by the ideals, visions, and courage that aroused from the great Icons Arne Jacobsen, Poul Kjaerholm, Le Corbusier –the ideas of originality, classic form, good function and high quality traditions.
Design Strategy:
As he puts it “to make an appealing design comes relatively easy for me, but the challenge to design and produce a high profile designer-product that also from a construction, functional and production point of view, will meet the customers demand, not only poses a tremendous professional task, but is indeed an objective to which I am highly challenged”.
Statements:
“Life is too short and busy for boring homes, -good design should be within reach of everyone who can appreciate it, irregardless of how much money you make”.
“Good design is therapy for the soul, -it makes you feel good and gives most people great pleasure and positive vibrations in the stressing everyday-life of the 21st century”.
